The ancient city of Ayutthaya lies about an hour by car outside of Bangkok. Within this UNESCO World Heritage Site is the opulent Phra Thinang Aisawan Thiphya-Art. Built by Rama V, King Chulalongkorn in 1876, it is a replica of Phra Thinang Aphonphimok Prasat in the Grand Palace in central Bangkok.
